When preparing for a survey or defending your organization in response to auditors the best process is development of a plan and understanding how to avoid or defend yourself during an appeals process.
As a part of this education, we will discuss hospice compliance, developing a plan to avoid negative regulatory findings during a TPE, SMRC and RAC review and if needed how to establish best practices and an effective appeal and/or defensive processes.

Laurie Newlun joined the team as a Senior Manager in 2021 and provides Compliance, Regulatory and Quality Consulting for home health and hospice organizations. A Tennessee resident, she has more than 20 years of experience serving home health and hospice organizations and focused expertise in hospice and palliative care across clinical operations, quality management, and corporate compliance in both hospital and community-based settings.
