  • Legislative Council Chambers - State House

Registration

Registration is closed

Join us Tuesday, March 24 at the capital to meet with legislators, highlight your agency and advocate for our industry. Mark you calendars today, more details to come.

Arrival Details

Please plan to be in Legislative Council Chambers (Room 334, State House) starting at 11:30 AM. From the Governor’s office on the 2nd floor, walk halfway up the staircase and the room is ahead of you on the 2.5 floor. For the lunch & learn, the exact timing of legislators’ arrival depends on when session ends—thank you in advance for your flexibility and understanding!

Parking & Security

Parking is located in the surface lots behind the Cross Office Building (behind the State House) or in the garage across the street (on the corner of Capitol and Sewall streets). You will need to go through security (metal detector) to enter the State House. You’ll want to leave some extra time for parking and to go through security. Parking has been tight this year, so it can take some time to find a spot.

Know Your Legislators

This is a great opportunity to connect with your legislators before or after the presentation. Make sure you know who your reps are—and what they look like! It usually works well to send them an email the day before the event to let them know you will be in the building.

Our lobbyist, Clara McConnell, will be on hand to help make connections if needed!

Q&A/Networking Participation

While our panelists will lead the discussion, other attendees are encouraged to be ready to answer questions from legislators during the Q&A or network with legislators while they are in the room with us.

Materials & Swag

We’ll have a small table set up with Maine Alliance for Care at Home handouts. If you have any print materials or swag you'd like to contribute, please bring!

Lunch

Lunch will be provided by the Maine Alliance for Care at Home. While there should be plenty to go around, please be aware that we want to make sure legislators get food, so please give them priority.
